Winter Hiking
Winter hiking in the valleys and mountains of Tyrol in Austria
A perfect addition to Skiing in Ischgl is winter hiking. Enter a world which will captivate you. Peace and quiet and the fabulous panoramas are what you can expect when embarking on a winter hike.
There are moments during a holiday where you will feel the need to find some peace and quiet. When skiing and celebrating it’s all about having fun, but it’s not obligatory to get partied out on the (après) skiing piste every day. If you want to escape the usual hubbub of things for a bit, either alone or in company, then winter hiking is a great choice to do so.
The valley offers a comfortable tour. Hike on spacious roads to small villages and enjoy the fantastic mountains surrounding you and experience the silent sides of Ischgl. A number of restaurants and pubs are inviting for refreshments and well deserved breaks. When returning to Ischgl you have heaps of romantic memories and impressions to nurture.
On the mountains you will also find winter hiking paths. All hiking paths are marked and well sign posted, and the roads are cleared of snow. The hiking paths within the Silvretta Arena are a little bit more demanding than the paths down in the valley. However you have the choice between shorter and simpler routes and longer winter hikes. In any case you will be able to take in a landscape which you cannot experience when skiing.
From Ischgl you take the cable car high up into the mountains. The starting points for all winter hiking paths are located directly at the higher terminus. Only a few steps and you are leaving the ski circus behind. The mountainscape of Ischgl opens new faces along your winter hiking routes. Enjoy the calm and the fairytale-like winter magic. The view into the impressive 3000 metre peaks is only one of many everlasting impressions.
You cannot wait to embark on a romantic winter hike into Ischgl’s mountain world? Then best send a non-binding enquiry for your holiday offer at the design hotel Madlein straight away.
