The independent ski area mystery testers judged of course the quality of all pistes and lift facilities such as cable cars and lifts. With the climbing aids comfort, safety, speed and transport capacity were the main factors. With the pistes it is quality, preparation, safety measurements, and of course the variety, with which a ski region has to convince. Ischgl achieved top results.
The ski area testers took a close look at many more criteria. Snow machines and snow security, friendliness of the staff, restaurants and ski chalets, sports shops, events, the offers for snowboard and freeski riders or skiing schools are also indicators for the quality criteria. And Ischgl of course had the best overall results.
Ischgl invests millions each year to improve the Silvretta Arena in every possible aspect. Nature is a main focus for these improvements. The Silvretta Arena received a number of awards for its efforts to keep its environment intact and healthy. The readership of “Ski Magazin” voted Ischgle as the most environmentally friendly skiing region.
