Climbing, swimming, walking and excursions
Even if you are coming to Ischgl for a full fortnight or longer – there is no lack of attractions and activities. Mountains, valleys, towns and indoor-leisure activities will fill hours with fun and holiday adventures.
Climbing garden and mountaineering courses
Mountaineering and climbing have a long standing tradition at Paznaun. The latest hit attractions are the two climbing gardens in Ischgl. The steep rock climbs are accessible even for less experienced mountain fans, due the artificial climbing aids and climbing steps. Ischgl’s mountain guides, however, like to whisk you up into the high alpine mountain world at mountaineering courses or when going rock climbing.
Nordic Walking
The Paznaun Valley with its wide, flat roads is ideal for the trendy sport of Nordic Walking. The path network surrounding Ischgl is very well marked and sign posted. If you want tips and tricks from a pro then walk with one of the Nordic Walking instructors.
Swimming
Your summer holiday brings you into a high valley at 1,370 meters above sea level. The temperatures are warm and summer like, but not too hot. A day spent swimming must not be missed. The Forest Bath in Ischgl is a good insider tip for bathing beauties and especially kids. The mountain lakes are a little bit too nippy for longer swims, but just right when sticking your feet in for a refreshing effect while hiking. An adventure bath at the Silvretta Centre in the heart of Ischgl is the hit destination for the very few rainy days during the summer season.
Tennis
Four outdoor tennis courts and 4 indoor tennis courts are available for matches. Should you want to improve your game: book an hour with a pro tennis trainer.
